Taylor Lautner continued his Eclipse press tour this morning on NBC's Today, sitting down with Matt Lauer to talk about his role in the newest installment of the Twilight franchise, Eclipse — where the young actor logs more than 50 minutes of screen time as Jacob Black!

Eclipse is definitely my favorite of the series,” the 18-year-old star told Matt Lauer this morning. “The book was my favorite — I feel like Eclipse takes everything about the franchise – the romance, the action, the danger — and it takes it all to the next level.”

The one thing that bothers Taylor, however, is his graphic counterpart, his wolf, gets the glory in most of the action scenes.

“I was very jealous of my wolf,” Taylor confessed. “I love the action – that’s the fun part, and my wolf has all the action in this movie.”

Eclipse really brings out the battle between Team Edward vs. Team Jacob, and many fervent Twilight fans have declared their allegiance to the latter.

“What’s the one question you get more than any other question from the fans?” Matt asked Taylor.

“They ask you to take your shirt off a lot,” he said with a laugh. “I just tell them, ‘Not now, but see it June 30.’ ”

Putting all the Twilight pandemonium aside, Taylor still ahs a normal home life where he is expected to do his chores.

“When I’m home, I help out with the lawn, the garbage, dishes… everything,” he explained. “I live two lives. I have this life where I do what I love to do, but I also have the same exact life as before and literally nothing has changed."
