The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards were full of surprises Sunday night. Lady Gaga's hotly anticipated fashion choice turned out to be an over-sized black suit and white T-shirt, as she was dressed as alter ego Jo Calderon, and Beyoncé revealed her pregnancy news!
Kanye West was joined onstage by daddy-to-be Jay-Z for the first performance of their hit "Otis."
But in the end, it was the women who dominated the night, coming out with 12 of the 15 total awards presented live. Katy Perry took home trophies for both "Firework" and "E.T." and Lady Gaga won two for her monster hit "Born This Way."
Even though she didn't get much love during the live show, Adele took home four Moonmen for her video to "Rolling in the Deep."
