Americas's Got Talent has crowned its Season 6 winner. After tension continued to build during the two-hour season finale, contestant Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. took home the coveted title.
The soulful singer — whose touching story captivated America as he supported himself by washing cars at an auto dealership — sang his way to victory on the hit NBC talent competition.
"Thank you so much for just believing in me," he said, embracing host Nick Cannon with excitement after hearing his name.
"It's been a long, hard journey," he continued, as he held back tears and added, "ever since I was a kid. And it's finally paying off."
Before his big coronation, Landau performed an upbeat number with legend Patti LaBelle.
Landau beat out Silhouettes, Team iLuminate and POPLYFE for the title.
Other guest performers included Def Leppard, One Republic and last season's runner-up, Jackie Evancho.
