Ashthon Jones was the first to say goodbye last night on American Idol after receiving one of three wild cards last week from the judges on the hit FOX singing competition. Ashthon, 24, was one of three women in the bottom three, and ended her impressive journey with a very emotional good-bye.
Karen Rodriguez, 21, and Haley Reinhart, 20, joined Ashthon in the bottom three last night, but in the end the Nashville native was sent home.
After host Ryan Seacrest announced that both Karen and Haley were safe, Ashthon was allowed to sing "for her life" one final time.

But judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler did not use their save on Ashthon.
Ashthon sang Diana Ross' "When You Tell Me That You Love Me" -- but her performance did not impress the judges enough to use their one "save" for the entire season.
