Last night Coldplay landed in L.A. for a Samsung AT&T Summer Krush concert, and touched the hearts of all their fans (and celebrities) in the audience with a moving tribute to Amy Winehouse.
Frontman Chris Martin delivered a slower, more serene version of the late singer's "Rehab," singing the chorus during the set, before the band went into their hit "Fix You."
The tribute only lasted about 30 seconds, but still moved the crowd with Chris' haunting tone.
When Amy passed away earlier this month at the age of 27, Coldplay wrote the following message on their website: "There's little that can be said about Amy Winehouse's passing that hasn't already been said. It's just such a sad waste. We'll leave aside the awful irony and just let the Aussie choir sing."
