Watch 'Dancing With the Stars' Season 12 Top Movers: Ralph Macchio & Kirstie Alley Nail It!

Dancing With the Stars already has some frontrunners! Season 12 of the hit ABC dance competition kicked off last night and Karate Kid star Ralph Macchio hit the dance-floor with a graceful fox trot, wowing the judges! Actress Kirstie Alley also surprised everyone with her moves, landing herself in the top two for the night! 

Ralph, paired with professional dancer Karina Smirnoff, earned the highest marks of the week with 24 points when he delivered a graceful foxtrot, without losing command of the dance floor.

"That was just an amazing surprise," judge Carrie Ann Inaba said of the couple's performance.

"You've got great potential," Len Goodman agreed. "It was a bit rough around the edges. I loved the music. I loved the dancing. It's the best Foxtrot tonight."

Kirstie, along with her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, definitely brought some fun and silliness to the dance floor, but didn't lose site of accuracy.

Bruno Tonioli exclaimed that her footwork was the "the best of the night."

She landed at No. 2 with 23!

Kendra Wilkinson, favored to beat out Kirstie, scored an 18 for her Cha Cha, not bad for the first night of competition.

Her strong, fluid dance moved had Carrie Ann questioning if Kirstie was really over 40.

"Way!" the 60-year-old actress replied.

"That was unbelievable," Carrie Ann said.
