Florence and the Machine took the stage by storm this morning on Good Morning America. The group is still riding high off its first studio album, Lungs, which has sold more than 2 million copies! Lead singer Florence Welch also chatted with the GMA crew this morning and shared the origin of the band's name!

"It's funny because it kind of started as a private joke between me and Isabella over here," Florence said on stage gesturing at her keyboard player, Isabella Summers. "This is Isa Machine, the original Isa Machine. And I was Florence Robot. So the first name for the band was actually Florence Robot/Isa Machine, but that's really long."

The British band is currently on their Cosmic Love tour, making a special stop to perform on GMA as part of their Summer Concert Series on ABC.

"It's an amazing way to wake up," she said before breaking out with the group's smash hits "Cosmic Love," "Dog Days Are Over" and "You've Got the Love."
