Hines Ward and Ralph Macchio established themselves as frontrunners and the ones to beat during the second night of competition on ABC's hit Dancing With the Stars! The famed footballer and Karate Kid brought energy and charisma to the quickstep and jive respectively, but in the end Ralph inched ahead of Hines.
With all his injuries from the football field, the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver found the quickstep posture challenging.
But he bravely gave the dance his all with partner Kym Johnson, quick stepping their way to "Part Time Lover."
In the end, Kym left a lipstick kiss mark on his cheek.
"More like full time dancer," judge Bruno Tonioli quipped, expressing pride in Hines' performance.
Carrie Ann Inaba dubbed him "twinkle toes" and Len Goodman was "very impressed."
"What do your teammates think?" host Brooke Burke asked Hines backstage.
"I proved them wrong," he replied flashing his million dollar smile.
In the end, Hines scored a 23 out of 30, with a grand total of 44 for the two nights of competition.
Ralph and partner Karina Smirnoff took on the jive this week to "Nobody But Me." His family stood strong behind him during rehearsals, and in the end he topped the leader board.

But the judges were certainly a bit harsh, recognizing his potential and offering constructive criticism.
"It was OK," Len began as the crowd booed. "You attacked the dance too much."
'You inhabit the character 110 percent," Bruno complimented, but also warned Ralph to "watch those hands!"
Carrie Ann's advice: "If you wanna go further you have to be sharper."
In the end he scored 21 out of 30, but still had a grand total of 45 of 60, topping the leader board.
