The trailer for James Franco's new film, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, has finally been released!

The film hits theaters Aug. 5 and also stars Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, Brian Cox, Tom Felton, David Oyelowo and Andy Serkis as Caesar.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes is about a man (James) whose experiments with genetic engineering leads to the development of intelligence in apes and in turn a war for supremacy.

According to Coming Soon, the Oscar-winning visual effects team from Avatar and Lord of the Rings bring to life a CGI ape for this film about war between man and primates.
