Jerry had a difficult time simply sticking to the script in front of him because he really tried to do Charlie justice in portraying him accurately.
Eventually the crew just let Jerry say whatever came to mind and the audition turned into "winning" Funny or Die performance.

He even tried to hit on the female "goddess" in the audition room and test his own urine to prove that it's "clean."
