June 24 2011, Published 4:32 a.m. ET
Justin Bieber endured quite a fright yesterday when he greeted throngs of screaming Beliebers outside Macy's Herald Square in NYC and was knocked down by a man was first believed to be a rogue fan. Later, it was reported that the male "attacker" was actually an undercover cop. And, of course, all the commotion was caught on video.
Footage was released on YouTube of Justin being toppled and a swarm of security rushing to his aid.
He was supposed to sign some autographs for fans, but the crowd was too unruly.
According to TMZ, and undercover cop went to protect Justin from the crazy crowds of fans, but a miscommunication existed and the security guards did not know that the man out of uniform was an officer, so one member of JB's entourage pulled him off Justin.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ when the undercover cop identified himself, Justin's security guard would not stand down.
As a result, he was "secured" and "cited for disorderly conduct."
All that matters is that the Justin is safe. He reportedly suffered a "minor" injury to his arm, but he still continued to move on and sign autographs for fans.
He went through with the entire signing, and even made it out to support his girlfriend Selena Gomez at an NYC screening of her new flick, Monte Carlo!
"today went well at macy's.. the fans were AMAZING, thanks to all the fans who came out to support it was a breath of fresh air" Justin Tweeted after his exciting day in the Big Apple.
