Kat Von D and Jesse James may have suddenly ended their engagement, but Jesse will always be a part of Kat — literally. The tattoo maven got inked on her left side with a picture of Jesse's face modeled from a childhood school photo, and it was all caught on tape for an upcoming episode of LA Ink!

Kat wanted to show a her love for the motorcycle man by paying homage to Jesse as a young boy.

A clip from the season premiere of LA Ink, via Radar Online, shows Kat surprising Jesse with the tat!

"I'm getting his face tattooed on me, and I have no idea how he's going to react," Kat says in the clip.

When Jesse arrives at her shop, he looks confused and says, "I feel like I'm in court," as Kat nervously announces she has a "surprise" for him.

Jesse definitely seems caught of guard but acts flattered by Kat's gesture and calls her "crazy."

But Kat embraces him and presses him until he admits that he loves it and finally says, "I love you."

Kat's final reaction: "I thought you were going to tell me you were breaking up with me."

Seems a bit foreboding given the status of their relationship now.

James and Kat were engaged in January and suddenly announced their shocking decision to split earlier this week.

Kat broke the news on Twitter: “I am no longer w Jesse, and out of respect for him, his family and myself, thats all the info I’d like to share. Thanks for respecting that.”
