Many predicted Melissa Leo would win Best Supporting Actress at Sunday night's Oscars ceremony, but The Fighter star seemed truly shocked! Thanks to presenter Kirk Douglas, Melissa and the other nominees were kept on the edge of their seats as the charming veteran actor kept prolonging his introduction, to the amusement and delight of the audience!
But it was truly a magical moment when Melissa accepted her award, and the actress got a bit carried away with her speech, slipping an expletive in there!
Michael Douglas' father really kept the audience laughing as he complimented Anne Hathaway's looks and teased the nominees — Hailee Steinfeld, Helena Bonham Carter and Melissa's Fighter co-star Amy Adams.

The 94-year-old actor also made some jabs at the audience, singling out last year's host who was sitting in the front row, Hugh Jackman!
"Hugh Jackman is laughing. I don't know why everybody in Australia thinks they are funny," Kirk quipped. "Colin Firth is not laughing," he continued. "He's British."
He also made fun of himself for having been nominated for Oscars, but never being a winner.
When Melissa trekked on stage to accept her award, decked out in a Marc Bouwer gown and Forevermark jewelry, she quipped back at the legend known for his roles in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954) and Spartacus (1960).

"You're pretty good looking yourself. What are you doing later on?"
But Melissa's actual speech did not go off without a hitch
"I'm just shaking in my boots here," she said. "Yeah, I am kind of speechless."
Then came the bleeps as she dropped the f-bomb: "When I watched Kate Winslet two years ago it looked so much f----ing easier."
She held her head in her hands for the seconds after her slip, and apologized immediately.
And her Fighter co-host Christian Bale made sure to get back at her, quipping during his acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actor, "I'm not going to drop the f-bomb like Melissa. I have done that plenty of times in the past.
