Not all families are as tight-knit as the Kardashians. On last night's series premiere of Khloé & Lamar, Khloé Kardashian Odom had a deeper look inside the estranged relationship between her L.A. Laker hubby Lamar and his father, Joe.
Khloé admitted that in the beginning she had difficulty understanding the strain between Lamar and his dad. She has always been so close to her immediate family, and losing her biological father at a young age only strengthened that bond.

But last night she realized not everyone is like the Kardashians.
Lamar's father Joe reached out to his son claiming to be "wiped out" and tried multiple different angles and reasons why he needed money — a haircut, new clothes, groceries.
After hearing the conversation for herself, Khloé realized Joe did not come close to being the kind of father her dad and Bruce have been to her and the rest of the Kardashian crew.

"Now that I'm hearing the conversation for myself, I understand a little more why Lamar puts him at the place that he does," she told the cameras.
