Paula Deen has released a video apologizing for the "mistakes" she made—terrible errors in judgment that have come out after a former employee sued the chef and her brother for racial and sexual discrimination.

"I want to apologize to everybody for the wrong that I've done," Paula says in a new 46-second plea to the public.

"I want to learn and grow from this. Inappropriate and hurtful language is totally, totally unacceptable," she says. "I've made plenty of mistakes along the way but I beg you, my children, my team, my fans, my partners, I beg for your forgiveness. Please forgive me for the mistakes that I have made."

It seems it's too little too late for the cooking channel that carries Paula's show. "Food Network will not renew Paula Deen's contract when it expires at the end of this month," the company said in a statement.
