Charlize stars as Mavis Gary, a teen literature writer who tries to relive her glory days by returning to her hometown — and attempts to get back together with her high school sweetheart (Patrick Wilson.)
The fact that her former boyfriend is now happily married doesn't stop Mavis from trying to win him back! And she enlists the help of a former classmate (Patton Oswalt), who is also still obsessed with high school.
