Wesley Snipes "In Transit" to Prison

After being sentenced to prison for three year on tax evasion charges, Wesley Snipes is now officially in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons.

MyFox Orlando reports that the Federal Bureau of Prisons website states Wesley is "In Transit."
Wesley was ordered by a federal judge on Friday to surrender to authorities so he can begin serving his sentence.
The 48-year-old actor's attorney had requested a new trial, but the motion was denied by U.S. District Court Judge William Terrell Hodges. During the appeal, Wesley was free on bond.

In 2008, the Blade star was convicted on three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file his income tax returns.
He had previously appealed his conviction when a witness against Wesley, former financial adviser Kenneth Starr, was convicted of fraud.

However, a federal appeals panel upheld his three-year sentence this July.
