Less than a day after experiencing the high of his upset victory over Mel B. and Marie Osmond on Dancing With the Stars, race car champ Helio Castroneves stunned the world again Wednesday morning with the announcement that he and his fiancée Ali Vasquez have broken off their engagement.

And yet, only days earlier, the Indy 500 winner was gushing to OK! about his upcoming wedding — even offering OK! the exclusive on the photos from the ceremony!

"It will be big, like 400 guests," Helio said in an exclusive interview and photo shoot with partner Julianne Hough in the new issue of OK!. He also revealed he planned on donning some of his DWTS attire at the ceremony. "I love the tux with the tails! I've gotta have it! No question about it."

Helio also told OK! he'd asked dance partner Julianne to "teach my fiancée how to dance!"

The now-single Helio was even tight-lipped on this morning's episode of The View, where he didn't mention word one about the split. Why not? "It's about the show," he explained to Extra after taping the show. "I didn't want to put my personal life in that moment."

Rumors are now circulating that a romance, or even just a flirtation, with the 19-year-old Julianne might have been the final straw in the split. Tuesday night, Helio planted a big, wet one on the bubbly blonde, and all season long, Ali never stopped by the DWTS set to watch her beau dance — though Helio defended her absence to OK! by saying it would be "bad luck" for her to come and jinx his and Julianne's good run.
