When it comes to etiquette, manners and overall good behavior, even celebrities need help navigating the rough waters of stardom! It’s a good thing Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of the Real Housewives of New York is joining forces with OK! to school them on the right thing to do! In a rough situation, we just ask, “What Would the Countess Do?” This week the Countess counsels tween role models taking on adulthood and handling jabs from the media gracefully.

Pop stars like Beyonce and Justin Timberlake have both come from successful pop groups into superstar solo artists. How do you think an artist could help build a successful solo career for themselves?

Beyonce and Justin Timberlake paid their dues and made invaluable music industry contacts while singing with successful pop groups. They are also incredibly talented singer-songwriters who have worked hard to achieve their superstar status. There is no easy way to build a successful entertainment career. It takes talent, hard work, great contacts, and chutzpah.

Tip: Make friends at every job you have and you will build a network that can lift you to the next level.

Twitter accounts have gotten celebs in trouble often in the past, like when Kim Kardashian ousted the air marshal next to her on a flight or when Bow Wow tweeted how tipsy he was while driving. Is there a certain etiquette celebs should follow when using twitter?

Kim Kardashian and Bow Wow were both breaking the law when they posted these tweets. Also, they were endangering others; Kim by exposing the presence of an air marshal who is traveling incognito to protect the plane’s passengers and Bow Wow by driving under the influence and tweeting while driving. To me, this isn’t an etiquette issue but a public safety issue. I think a good guideline for celebs to follow is first do no harm, then consider if the tweet is in good taste.

Tip: Sometimes, it’s better to say nothing, especially when engaged in illegal activities.
