Rape charges against actor Esai Morales were dropped yesterday. Morales’ ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Mazzocchi claimed the NYPD Blue actor raped her, but the L.A. district attorney found no grounds for the case. One major reason? Mazzocchi continued to live with Morales for 15 months after the alleged rape incident, reports Page Six.
Jessica Simpson roughing it? She’ll have to on her upcoming USO show in the Middle East. Simpson will be performing with the Pussycat Dolls, Disturbed and comic Carlos Mencia, and while abroad, “They’re receiving no special treatment. Jessica will be roughing it,” a source told Page Six. That means no luxurious hotel rooms — just sleeping bags and bunk beds.

A recent concert appearance of the swan-clad singer in China raised the ire of Chinese officials after she chanted “Tibet, Tibet” at the end of the show in reference to China’s rule over the region. Reports the AP, China’s Culture Ministry said her pro-Tibet performance “broke Chinese law and hurt Chinese people’s feelings.”
