Crisis averted! Jessica Simpson and new baller boy toy Tony Romo avoided social disaster this past weekend when they decided not to hang out with Simpson's little sis Ashlee and her man Pete Wentz in Costa Rica, and went to Cabo San Lucas instead. Reports Page Six, Jess' ex, Nick Lachey and his girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo were staying just next door to Ash and Pete.
A new tell-all about the hit HBO series Sex and the City is being penned to coincide with the release of the new movie. Some juicy bits? Kim Cattrall was a "scene-stealer in the best possible sense" which is what caused tensions on set and, reports Gatecrasher, producer Darren Star saw no star power in an auditioning Ashton Kutcher. "I don't see this kid going anywhere," he reportedly said. Bad call!

No Country for Old Men took top honor at the Critics Choice Awards last night, beating out nine other films to take home the Best Film award. Other top winners included Best Actor winner Daniel Day Lewis for There Will Be Blood and Best Actress winner Julie Christie for Away From Her.
