The movie trailer for the last film Whitney Houston made before her death in February has just been released. The singer/actress stars in the new film, Sparkle, alongside Jordin Sparks and Cee Lo Green.

Sparkle is the story of three sisters who try to make it as an all-girl singing group during the Motown-era. Jordin stars as the youngest sister, Sparkle, and Whitney plays her mother, who had a musical career of her own.

The film is a remake of a 1976 movie by the same name. Whitney's role marked her return to films after over 15 years, Reuters reports.
Whitney died at the age of 48 in February of accidental drowning due to the effects of cocaine use and heart disease.
Sparkle is set to appear in theaters on Aug. 17.
