Whitney Houston has checked into rehab voluntarily to receive treatment for drugs an alcohol.

According to Whitney's rep (via TMZ), Whitney has recently entered an out-patient rehab program for drugs and alcohol as part of a "long-standing " recovery process.
TMZ reports that Whitney enrolled in rehab about 10 days ago and a music industry source says the singer "was plastered and she was a mess" two weeks ago.

Whitney can reportedly go out in public in this program if she has a monitor with her.
This is not the first time Whitney has entered rehab. In 2004, the singer checked into rehab and went back to treatment again in 2005.
