Whitney Port Not Fazed by NYC Fashion World

The cutthroat world of the New York fashion industry is not for the faint of heart.

So we were happy to hear that aspiring fashionista Whitney Port's dreams have not been crushed by her first job in the Big, bad, Apple.

The City star had already spent a year at fashion PR company People's Revolution in L.A., but only landed her first job at a true design house, Diane Von Furstenburg, last year.

And far from being put off by her time in the high-pressure fashion capital of the US, Whitney tells OK! that she wants to stay for as long as she can.

"It’s something where I learn something new everyday," she said of her job in the company's publicity department.

"I’m totally passionate about it," she added, speaking at the mur.mur nightclub at the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

"I’ve learned so much working for Diane Von Furstenberg. It’s so amazing to be working at a company like that.

"So I hope that I can work there as long as they’ll allow me," she said.
