In spite of his big coming out earlier this year, don’t expect a guy on ’s arm at the Emmys this Sunday.
The Grey’s Anatomy star, who memorably came out in October, 2006, tells OK! at the 1st Annual Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Producers’ Peer Group Party last night that he’ll have a lady by his side instead for the ceremony. “Platonic,” he jokes, adding that he would be wearing Hugo Boss. “And hopefully I won’t have any zits that day. I’m sure I will because that’s the thing I don’t want.” T.R. is up for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series while three Grey’s dames, , , and his BFF , are vying out for Supporting Actress. Missing from the list and the Grey’s set is fiery redhead , who has moved onto greener pastures, or Los Angeles, for her spinoff Private Practice, and the void is definitely felt, the 36-year-old says. “I work with such an insanely incredible cast. But I miss Kate Walsh a lot. I miss her humor.” Catch the Emmys, hosted by , on FOX this Sunday at 8 p.m. Grey’s Anatomy returns for its fourth season on Sept. 27 at 9 p.m. on ABC. Private Practice premieres the day before at 9 p.m.
