
Whoopi Goldberg to Star in Broadway's 'The Lion King' for One Night Only

You won't want to miss this! Oscar, Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg will be joining the cast of Broadway's The Lion King for one night only!
Whoopi announced live today on The View that she will be joining Disney Theatrical Productions on Thursday, Jan. 14, to star in The Lion King.
She will make a series of surprise cameos throughout the 8 p.m. performance at the Minskoff Theatre.

Whoopi was the original voice of Shenzi the Hyena 15 years ago in the 1994 Disney animated film.
Her rehearsals and performance will be filmed by The View cameras for a feature that will air on the show the week of Jan. 18.
The Lion King is the ninth longest-running musical in Broadway history and is now in its 13th year, and is the first American musical in history to have entertained 50 million guests worldwide!
