For his role as Kip Unger in the comedy Kickin' It Old Skool (in theaters this Friday, April 27), Michael's break-dancing skills from childhood gave him a leg up. 'We used to bring our own cardboard and do back spins,' he tell OK!. 'I had the zipper pants, a tank top that said ëAwesome' and a headband! That's the most popular I think I ever was.' For the Indiana native, the film's character is a far cry from his regular gig as villain Lex Luther on CW's Smallville. 'What people don't know is that every second before we roll I'm making jokes and doing stand up comedy! They say action and I jump into serious mode.' He adds, 'Really, I'm just a big goofball.' Having performed since the sixth grade, Michael, 34, hopes his career will lead him to 'being the next Chevy Chase.' Currently living in Los Angeles, the hockey buff is single and searching for romance. 'I keep thinking I just have to meet that girl,' he says. 'I really want kids. I'm open for anything.'-Katie Perry
