It's a big day for Anne Hathaway—she's nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as Fantine in Les Miserables. If her BAFTA, Golden Globes, and SAG wins this year are any indication, her chances are looking pretty good.
OK! News: Watch a livestream of the 2014 Oscars!
But we had to wonder: is the short hair her key to winning? She filmed the movie a year ago, yet she's keeping her hair short. We take a look back at other leading ladies that shaved their head for a role and how well they fared:
Charlize said goodbye to her hair last summer before she started shooting Mad Max, which will be out in 2014.
Natalie shaved her head, famously on film, for 2005's V for Vendetta. She won the Best Actress award from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, yay!
