Will Forte is Saying So Long to MacGruber & 'SNL'

Will Forte, a longtime Saturday Night Live cast member and star of the "MacGruber" skit, will not be returning to show when the 36th season begins in the fall.

The New York Times reports that a representative for Will wrote in an email a letter of thanks to his colleagues and SNL producer, Lorne Michaels.
“After eight great seasons, Will has made the decision to move on from S.N.L. to pursue new opportunities," the email stated. "He is eternally grateful to Lorne and all of the incredible people he worked with over the years.”
