As the public attention stays focused on everything regarding the life of Michael Jackson, A&E reveals the network might air a one-hour special on the Jackson family that was supposed to be a "backdoor pilot" for a potential series.
Months ago, the network commissioned the special, which follows Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy, reports the Hollywood Reporter. Producers have already finished shooting footage of the brothers as they prepared a new album and reunion tour.

Originally the footage was to be aired next year as a special, but now A&E is taking a "wait and see" approach in light of the King of Pop's demise before deciding whether or not the show will become a series. No footage was shot of the family since MJ's death.
"We have started discussing internally and with the family but have not yet decided what direction to take with the show," said A&E executives, in a statement. "We are respecting the family's wishes right now, and at the appropriate time we will all decide what direction this program to take, so stay tuned."
