After a fire broke out at Will.i.am’s London hotel on Friday, new reports reveal that the artist was brought to safety and still able to perform at the Wireless Festival with his Black Eyed Peas band mates as scheduled.

E! Online reports that the 36-year-old, along with 1,500 other hotel guests and employees, were evacuated from the Park Lane Hilton when a fire started on the second floor.

Will.i.am was able to vacate the premises securely, holding his shirt over his mouth and nose to protect from any fumes, with the help of around twenty firefighters who responded to the emergency in Mayfair promptly.

That evening the X-Men Origins: Wolverine actor seemed unaffected and in high spirits, performing a variety of songs such as “Where is the Love” with Fergie, Taboo, and Apl.de.ap on stage in Hyde Park.
