Willie Nelson's Proposed Plea Deal in Pot Case to Include Singing?

A west Texas prosecutor's proposed plea deal in Willie Nelson's latest pot case includes singing a song and paying $100.

Willie was charged with marijuana possession after his tour bus was searched by U.S. Border Patrol agents near the U.S.-Mexico border last November.

"You can bet your a** I'm not going to be mean to Willie Nelson," Hudspeth County Attorney C.R. "Kit" Bramblett told CNN on Monday.

Bramblett said he would recommend a plea deal for Willie that would include him singing his hit song, "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain." A court date hasn't been set yet, but Bramblett said the courtroom performance would be his community service.

In addition to singing, Willie would be asked to pay a fine of $100 and court costs.

But it will be Judge Becky Dean-Walker's decision as to the fate of Willie's case.

"My court is not a jester court," Judge Dean-Walker he said in regards to the proposed plea deal. "I understand that people are star stuck, I'm not one of them."

The prosecutor said he has not presented the plea to Willie's lawyer, so it's still very much uncertain.
