According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox is happy with the midnight grosses, and the film has slightly bested Thor's first-night ticket sales ($3.3 million).
Fox reports that the film should earn between $48 million and $55 million, which would rank it between openings for Batman Begins and the first X-Men.
