Sure, the ESPY Awards is all about accolades for athletes, but what's to stop the crossover from Hollywood? Zooey Deschanel, Olivia Munn, Jeremy Renner, Jessica Biel and more stars walked the red carpet and presented at the annual show.

Host Rob Riggle from The Daily Show and The Hangover had big shoes to fill after Seth Meyers previously hosted and poked fun at celebs and athletes alike. Rob touched upon the scandal rocking the New Orleans Saints and seemed to have a little trouble reading the teleprompter at times.

Regardless, LeBron James was the big winner! The basketballer won perhaps the most coveted award — male athlete of the year! Although he wasn't in L.A. for the ceremony, there was a good reason for his absence: He was in Las Vegas with his U.S. national teammates, prepping for the Olympic games!
As for the female athlete of the year, that went to basketballer Brittney Griner. She took home two trophies and beat out tennis star Maria Sharapova, skier Lindsay Vonn and soccer standout Abby Wombach.
