Zooey Deschanel Rocks "The Star Spangled Banner"

As America's pastime showcased Game 4 of the 2011 World Series last night, Zooey Deschanel belted out the national anthem wearing a red, white and blue minidress. To fans who have seen her on the small screen in Weeds or New Girl may have been surprised but let's face it, she can totally sing! Zooey's part of an indie pop duo called She & Him and has sung in commercials in the past and even in Elf. Unlike Christina Aguilera at the Super Bowl, Zooey didn't flub any lines or make any blunders. It was quite a memorable night for Zooey, as pointed out by E! News. After all, it's not every night you get to sing the national anthem and then see former president George W. Bush throw out the first pitch to Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan! After responding to tweets and thanking fans, including Bravo's Andy Cohen and legendary author Judy Blume, Zooey tweeted, "Would have loved to have watched the whole game but I had to catch a plane so I can go to work tomorrow. That's all guys. I'm not a jerk." Looks like Game 4 wasn't the only treat in store for fans. Demi Lovato will perform the song during Game 5 tonight. On Friday, Demi tweeted, "Only my lovatics could land me a spot singing the national anthem at the WORLD SERIES!!! I couldn't do it without you guys!!!!"
