The red carpet is back, but not everyone is starting off on their A-Game!
The 2021 BET Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday, June 27, in Los Angeles, Calif., bringing out some of the most wild fashions we've seen in a long time.
While celebs like Lil Nas X and Ciara slayed their looks, others struggled to find the right balance of attention grabbing and good taste.
Scroll through the gallery below to see that fashion fails and worst-dressed celebs at the BET Awards.
Saweetie
Belly dancer? I Dream Of Jeanie? Whatever the "Best Friend" rapper's inspiration was for this purple Dolce & Gabbana draped purple and gold gown looked better suited for Halloween than a red carpet.
Lil Kim
Drowning in heavy gold chains and strands of pearls, the "How Many Licks" rapper paired a Dolce & Gabbana bustier and high-low black blazer with black hot pants. The proportions for the pint-size star already looked totally off, and then the thigh-high rhinestone wrap heels by Jessica Rich just took the outfit into the gaudy category.
Kayykilo
Leaving very little to the imagination, the "ICE" rapper tried a little too hard to get attention wearing a see-though Marie Janae rhinestone mesh strapless dress split up to her thigh.

Where’s her neck? The Black-ish star wore an Annakiki Spring 2021 look, which included an orange bustier with voluminous pleated ruffles accents on the neckline, teamed with sleek black pants and Giuseppe Zanotti “Sophie” sandals. The design itself is totally chic, but unfortunately the outfit’s fabric just totally swallows the little actress.
Ari Lennox
Before taking the stage to perform, the "Up Late" singer tried to work an asymmetrical white gown by Bishme Cromartie but it just didn't flatter her. And the one half-arm sleeve was just plain odd.
Chloe Bailey
Catch of the day? The one half of Chloe x Halle looked like she was caught in a net wearing this exposed, high-neck Valentino number with a black bikini underneath.
Taraji P. Henson
Nearly everything from Atelier Versace is designed to perfection but this puzzling juxtaposition of a sleeveless sheer black bodice under a flowing pink and yellow printed bandeau top and skirt with a thigh-high slit on the Empire alum didn't quite work.
Sevyn Streeter
While her abs were totally on point, her sparkly nude LA Roxx ensemble, which included a criss-cross halter, low-rise maxi skirt, over-the-elbows arm pieces and head scarf, sadly, just looked tacky.
