With the Grammy Awards now behind us, awards season is switching gears from music to movies. The 2021 Oscars are right around the corner, taking place on Sunday, April 25, live from the Dolby Theatre, and the list of nominees is finally here.

The nominees in all 23 categories are revealed on Monday, March 15, by singer Nick Jonas and actress-producer Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The nominees for each category were announced during a two-part live presentation that took place bright and early on Monday morning.

And while the 93rd Academy Awards may be different this year, given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that has prohibited large gatherings of groups, the Oscars will still be a monumental affair.

On Tuesday, February 9, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences offered a glimpse at the nominees for nine categories, which included: Documentary Feature, Documentary Short Subject, International Feature Film, Makeup and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film and Visual Effects.
