Alex Rodriguez penned a sweet tribute to his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, to mark her 49th birthday.
The former baseball shortstop stop shared a series of family photos of Scurtis and their daughters, Natasha and Ella, on Instagram.
"Today I am celebrating someone very special in my life," he began. "Someone who continues to make a difference in my daughters’ lives every day and has my eternal respect and admiration. A very happy birthday to you, Cynthia!! 🎂"
"You’ve always been a wonderful mother and role model to our two incredible daughters," he continued. "You always put their needs first and have helped shape them into the strong young women they have become."
The 46-year-old gushed that he is lucky their coparenting situation feels more like a "100/100" split than a "50/50" split. "Living in close proximity and working together despite busy schedules has allowed both of us to remain integral and active in the development of two young women whose future is limitless. And I have you to thank in large part for that," he explained.

The former flames got hitched in 2002, before they divorced in 2008. Scurtis has since tied the knot with Angel Nicolas. Meanwhile, Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez called off their engagement earlier this year.
As previously reported by OK!, the former MLB player and Nicolas are said to get along "well" and there is "no bad blood" between them. "It’s like they’re one big happy family when they’re together," an insider said of the blended family.
"Alex and Cynthia coparent really well. They’re in a good place," the source shared at the time. "Alex is a hands-on dad and his girls will always be his No. 1."
