Bachelor Nation's Katie Thurston & Blake Moynes Call It Quits: 'We Are Not Compatible As Life Partners'
Another Bachelor Nation duo bites the dust!
On Monday, October 25, Katie Thurston revealed that she and fiancé Blake Moynes have called it quits nearly three months after she accepted his proposal on TV.
“It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways,” the 30-year-old captioned a snap of the duo via Instagram. “We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently.”
The brunette beauty continued: “We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision.”
In a statement via his own Instagram, Moynes shared the same heartfelt message.
Moynes originally appeared on Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams’ season of The Bachelorette in 2020 before he struck out to find love with Thurston during season 17.

“I think everyone can agree that this is exactly who I was supposed to be with,” Thurston said during the After the Final Rose special in August. “He fought to be here for me and chose to stay even when I’m telling him to his face that I considered leaving. That he was confident enough to hold both of us till the end, I’m just so lucky. I love him so much.”
Until their split, Moynes had been living in Canada with Thurston living in San Diego, Calif. The hunky 31-year-old works in wildlife management and is devoted to saving endangered species.
The former Bachelorette has been taking a stab at stand up comedy. She recently opened for comedian Whitney Cummings during a tour stop in Anaheim, Calif. on Friday, October 22.
