Brad Pitt is hoping to smooth things over with his ex.
The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor, 57, split from his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, 46, back in 2016 before their divorce was officially finalized in 2019. Since then, the former Hollywood couple have been duking it out in court for custody of their children.
The estranged pair are still hashing out the details of their custody agreement for their minor children, but in total they share six kids: Maddox, 20, Pax, 18, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 13.
Even though their grueling custody battle has had its ugly moments, Pitt hopes that they can find peace with each other one day for the sake of their family.
According to a report from Us Weekly, a source revealed that the Moneyball actor is tired of how icy their relationship has become over the years.
“Brad hopes that one day he and Angleina find a way to forgive each other and move forward, for the kids’ sakes if nothing else,” the source spilled to the outlet. “He hates all the bad blood.”

As OK! previously reported, a source revealed that Pitt has been having a hard time dealing with the messy legal battle and that he feels as though there is a “huge cloud hanging over him.”
“Brad is working hard and staying as positive as he can be right now,” they continued. “This whole war with Angelina has really taken its toll.”
Earlier this year, a California Supreme Court denied the Grammy-winning actor’s petition to review the custody case after the judge who granted him 50/50 custody ended up being removed from the case for failure to disclose his relationship with Pitt’s attorneys.
According to the court documents, the dad-of-six asked that the judge’s exit be reviewed, although his request was denied.
“We will continue to do everything that’s legally necessary based on the detailed findings of the independent experts,” a spokesperson for the actor said at the time, adding that Jolie was “pleased that her children’s wellbeing will not be guided by unethical behavior.”
