Cardi B has been invited to the funeral services for Instagram model Janae Gangier — also known as Miss Mercedes Morr — who died earlier this week.
The “WAP” rapper honored the 33-year-old on her Instagram story where she confronted haters and came to Morr’s defense — and the model’s family is showing their gratitude to Cardi for the act of kindness.
Jeanetta Grover, Morr’s mother, told TMZ that the family wanted to show their thanks to Cardi for bringing awareness to Morr’s death by inviting the rapper to her daughter's memorial services.
The outlet also reported that Grover expressed Morr's love for Cardi, although they aren’t putting any pressure on the rap superstar to make it to the celebration of life event, which will take place on Saturday, September 4, in Houston.
The 33-year-old was found dead during a welfare check on Sunday, August 29 in Richmond, Tex. Police officials reported that there were no signs of forced entry, per KHOU11.
As OK! previously reported, details surrounding Morr’s death were later released, including that the tragedy was suspected to be a murder-suicide.

35-year-old Kevin Alexander Accorto was also found dead in the home, and believed to be a suspect in the Instagram star’s death, according to Click2Houston.
KHOU11 reported that the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner said that Morr was apparently strangled while Accorto took his own life.
“At this point, this is being considered a murder/suicide and it is an ongoing investigation to determine motive in the case,” Richmond Police Information Officer Lt. Lowell Neinast announced in a press release.
Morr’s Instagram account touted more than 2.6 million followers, including Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion.
Other stars took to social media to post in memoriam of the late Morr, including Tory Lanez, who wrote “Rest in peace Queen,” on his Instagram story earlier this week.
At the time Morr's death was announced, the account @htownciara wrote, “Thank you for all the prayers and calls in regards to Mercedes. Her parents are asking that you respect the family. We know everyone is concerned. We will update everyone when all the information is confirmed. Thank you.”
