Marital Woes: Carrie Underwood & Mike Fisher's Marriage Plagued By Jealousy, Spills Source
Is Carrie Underwood's marriage crumbling?
After blowing everyone away at the 2022 Country Music Awards, the vocalist, 39, and her husband Mike Fisher, 41, apparently had a bit of a tumultuous date night exposing deep problems in their relationship.
"Everyone was praising and fawning over Carrie at the CMT's and Mike couldn't seem to get a word in edgewise," a source told Life & Style magazine. "He felt like a spare part, and it really got to him."

"Someone even mistook Mike as a waiter and asked him for a cocktail because he was lingering by the bar alone in a suit while Carrie was off networking. He was beyond mortified," an insider dished of the former NHL player — with whom Underwood shares sons Isaiah Michael, 7, and Jacob Bryan, 3.
However, it seems the couple's marital issues have been going on for longer than most people knew. "She puts on a happy show for the cameras, but there's a lot going on behind the scenes," the source spilled to the publication. "If you ask people who know them, they'll say Carrie and Mike's 11-year-marriage is far from picture perfect. The truth is they've had issues for years."
These issues only got worse during the pandemic. "Carrie used to feel insecure in the marriage. During lockdown, the tables turned," said the insider of the duo, who wed in 2010. "Little things about Mike annoyed her."

To make matters worse, the blonde beauty's career soaring to new heights has caused even more issues in their relationship. "Mike is seeing even less of Carrie. He goes crazy thinking about all of the guys she's closely working with, like Jason [Alden]," the source reportedly noted of the country music singer. "He'll sometimes hit the bar and get drunk with his friends as a distraction or because he's bored or feeling lonely."
"She feels trapped in a bad marriage," the insider concluded of Underwood's apparent thoughts. "They've tried everything to make things work — therapy, couples retreats — but nothing seems to help. Carrie and Mike act like strangers half of the time."
As OK! exclusively reported, Underwood and Fisher were "bickering" nonstop after the American Idol alum got back to focusing on her career. They’ve been "butting heads nonstop,” said the source, “and it’s not pretty.”
“She’s turning up the heat on poor Mike,” added the source. “The word is she nags at him about everything from letting the kids eat junk to not picking up after himself. On the surface, it’s small stuff, but it builds up and then she explodes.”
