Cold but not forgotten
Each year thousands of people are murdered in the U.S. But, for some, their killers are never caught. Their cases go cold, and the victim's families go decades without closure.
OKMagazine.com's sister website FrontPageDetective is set to feature stories of these cold cases starting Dec. 13.
The reports include an exclusive tale of a Colorado cop’s decade-long quest to find the person who shot him. The way it ends, well, it’s unbelievable.

Stories will also highlight cold cases from across the country. Many of the cases lack national coverage, but police are still asking for help solving them and anyone with information to come forward.
The stories are a chance to learn about some of the victims whose memories have faded with time.
There are also plans for stories to help explain how police go about investigating a case that is years old. DNA abilities have changed rapidly over the years, and the head of a lab that helps police solve cold cases sat down with FrontPageDetectives to explain how the process works.
Check out FrontPageDetectives starting Dec. 13 to read about some of these cold cases. Who knows, it might spark interest in a case and lead to one family getting the closure it has been missing for decades.
