Colorado veteran shielded 5-year-old son after woman allegedly drove Hyundai into them outside Target.

Colorado military veteran Miguel Tully became the human shield for his 5-year-old son after a Hyundai attacked them outside a Target outlet on July 31.
Police identified Christine Eisenstaedt as the woman behind the wheel, as KRDO 13 confirmed with the Colorado Springs Police Department on Monday. An arrest warning has been issued for the accused woman, 71.
Miguel Tully Recorded the Incident on His Phone
Colorado veteran shared a video after shielding his 5-year-old son during alleged Target parking lot crash.
Tully, a disabled combat veteran who now works as a local tattoo artist, recorded and posted a clip of the encounter on his social media. It has since garnered numerous views this week after being shared on various apps.
In the video, Tully, who had taken his son to Target to buy him Pokémon cards, was seen attempting to warn the driver that his son was in the path of the vehicle. The car was identified as a red Hyundai Ioniq with license plate CLK-R24.
Miguel Tully said he feared for his 5-year-old son's life after driver allegedly struck him outside Target.
But instead of slowing down, the vehicle allegedly struck Tully in the leg while he shielded his son to protect him. The impact, Tully noted, reportedly aggravated existing service-related injuries to his knee, back, spine, and neck.
"I was just flabbergasted and trying to rationalize with her that a child was in front of her and she could see it, and she knew it," he told KRDO. "To me, it wasn't possible that she was going to come into us."
"Somebody's driving into you. Could've easily taken my son's life," Tully said. "He's very small."

The Hyundai Was Initially Involved in a Separate Accident
The red Hyundai that struck Miguel Tully had reportedly crashed into another vehicle moments earlier outside Target.
Before ramming into him, Tully reported that he saw the red Hyundai being involved in a separate car accident while leaving the Target parking lot. It then spun around, coming face-to-face with the father and son, allegedly plowing into them.
"You're not leaving," Tully was heard saying on video. "Don't come this way. Don't hit me, I have my child here."
Police say Eisenstaedt is being charged with assault, child abuse, reckless endangerment, and careless driving after hitting the victim on Friday, per KRDO.
The Incident Has Reportedly Left Tully's Son Traumatized
Miguel Tully said the incident left his 5-year-old son traumatized, with the child reportedly pointing out every red car he sees.
Though he did not sustain any physical injuries, Tully said the incident has reportedly resulted in psychological trauma for his son. Allegedly, the child has begun pointing out every red car he sees.
"He's always like, 'Oh, there's the bad lady. Yeah, she's over there.' He's just always pointing them out," Tully said. "That's definitely going to be a trauma we're going to have to work through."
