Hayden Panettiere's mother is making new claims about her late daughter's relationship with Brian Hickerson.
Lesley Vogel alleged that Hickerson, 37, previously pawned some of Panettiere's personal belongings, including a vintage guitar. The former child actress' estranged mother made the claim in a New York Times interview published Sunday, August 23, though it remains unclear exactly when the items were sold.

Hayden Panettiere's mother, Lesley Vogel, claims Brian Hickerson pawned some of the actress' belongings before her death.
Vogel also alleged that Panettiere later discovered more of her possessions inside a storage unit connected to Hickerson and was "shocked" by what she found.
Another anonymous source reportedly backed up Vogel's account, claiming that Hickerson had sold several of Panettiere's belongings.

Her Mom Speaks Out About Hickerson

Hayden Panettiere died at age 36 on August 16 after she was found unresponsive at a South Carolina residence.
Just days after Hayden's death, Lesley continued to speak publicly about her relationship with her daughter. The 70-year-old talent manager described what she believed was a deeply unhealthy connection between the pair.
“It was much more powerful than people realized," Lesley told Daily Mail in an interview published Saturday, August 22.
"When Brian came into her life, the changes started to occur," she claimed. "Very early in the game, I thought he's a modern-day gigolo. I know what he's after."
Lesley also accused Brian of having "no career" and "no money," claiming that her daughter financially supported him.
"I know he put pressure on. I know he threatened. I know he did a lot of things," the former soap opera actress added.
Lesley Claims a Toxic Relationship Played a Role

Lesley Vogel has repeatedly criticized Hayden Hickerson and described his relationship with her daughter as toxic.
Lesley has continued to criticize Brian while discussing the difficult relationship between him and her daughter.
“Although my daughter and I were estranged, it was not for lack of care or love,” she told Entertainment Tonight on August 20. “It was due to the involvement of a toxic individual who I believe led to her death.”
Two days earlier, Lesley also addressed Brian's presence during Hayden's final moments.
On August 18, she shared a statement with NBC News, saying: “This person in her life that we have been trying to get rid of for quite some time was with her at her death and that was Brian Hickerson."
Brian has faced several arrests over the years, including charges involving domestic violence and felony assault. His history with Hayden has also included allegations of domestic abuse during their relationship.
Brian filed for bankruptcy in July 2022, listing assets totaling $25,700 and liabilities totaling around $60,000, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
