It sounds like Jennifer Garner is not impressed with her ex-husband Ben Affleck's comments about their marriage and subsequent split.
As previously reported by OK!, the 49-year-old actor made an appearance on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, December 14, and opened up about the demise of their marriage. The Gone Girl star insisted parting ways with his ex was for the best because, otherwise, they "would have ended up at each other's throats," and he "would probably still be drinking."
"That was part of why I started drinking alcohol, I was trapped," he revealed. "I was like, 'I can't leave because of my kids, but I am not happy."
The Argo star explained the former flames "amicably" agreed to separate, but there were some tense moments and custody disagreements. "But fundamentally it was always underpinned with respect," Affleck maintained. "I knew she was a good mom. I hope that she knew that I was a good dad. I was. I had to get sober, I knew that too and I acknowledged that. I said, 'You're right. I've got to quit drinking.'"
In light of the handsome hunk's revealing interview, an insider spilled the mother of his children was far from pleased with him. "Jen isn’t particularly happy with Ben’s wording on the subject of why they divorced," an insider told InTouch Weekly. "He gave an interview saying he felt 'trapped' in the marriage, Jen wouldn’t have used that phrase or even opened up publicly like that. It was disrespectful."

The source reportedly noted that the comments were a "slap in the face" to his former wife.
The coparents tied the knot in 2004 and announced their separation in 2015, with their divorce being finalized three years later. They share children: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9.
The 13 Going On 30 alum has since been linked to John Miller, while Affleck reconnected with his ex-fiancée, Jennifer Lopez, earlier this year.
