Parental advisory! These celebrities are bursting with pride watching their kids make it in the industry.
Dwayne Johnson & Simone Johnson
Keeping the tradition alive! In 2020, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s 20-year-old daughter with ex-wife Dany Garcia became fourth generation of the family to enter the WWE wrestling ring. Her grandfather Rocky Johnson and great grandfather “High Chief” Peter Maivia are both in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Busy Philipps & Birdie Silverstein
Busy Philipps’ elder child, who prefers they/them pronouns, has been cast in a non-binary role on the upcoming Amazon series from the creator of One Day at a Time called With Love. The ambitious 13-year-old (dad is Marc Silverstein) has a head start on her mom, who began her career in high school as a real-life Barbie on the toy fair circuit!
John Travolta & Ella Bleu Travolta
“I’m a very proud dad!” John Travolta wrote on Instagram alongside a pic of daughter Ella in costume for Get Lost on July 30. The 21-year-old, the actor’s second child with late wife Kelly Preston, stars as a backpacker in Europe who encounters a mystery man in a modern take on Alice in Wonderland.

Al Roker & Leila Roker
“She’s always wanted to do this,” Today meteorologist Al Roker bragged of daughter Leila, his middle child with wife Deborah Roberts. The Paris-based 22-year-old joined him in Tokyo for the Olympic games, where she served as a production runner for the primetime show on Peacock.
Kevin Bacon & Sosie Bacon
The 29-year-old, heart-rending as a recovering opioid addict in HBO’s gripping Mare of Easttown, got her start thanks to her famous folks. Dad Kevin Bacon cast her to play mom Kyra Sedgwick’s younger self in 2005’s Loverboy. Still, the pair were glad when she didn’t immediately pursue acting. “She kind of got it out of her system,” the Footloose actor said at the time. “She said, ‘Oh, that was fun — now I’m going back to school.’”
Kate Winslet & Mia Threapleton
Kate Winslet wasn’t surprised when the acting bug bit her daughter with director ex-husband Jim Threapleton. “Actually, I think I always suspected,” the Titanic star said last spring. “And then sure enough, a couple years ago, she turned around and said, ‘I think I’d like to give it a go.’” Now shooting Dangerous Liaisons, the 20-year-old starred in the 2020 Italian horror flick Shadows.
