The 44-year-old was found unresponsive in his North Dakota apartment on August 11. The cause of his death remains under investigation.

Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio and Tyler Duckworth had been friends for decades.
Devenanzio and Duckworth’s friendship spanned decades. The duo first appeared together on The Real World: Key West, which aired on MTV in 2006. They later made several appearances on The Challenge over the years and won The Challenge: Rivals together in 2011.
To commemorate their friendship and the person Duckworth was behind the cameras, Devenanzio shared an Instagram post on Sunday, August 16.
The video post featured photos of the two together over the decades as The Challenge veteran sang Zach Bryan’s hit song “Pink Skies.”
“You were more than a friend. More than a roommate,” he wrote in the caption.

“You were the brother I never had,” he added.
“Rest easy, Tyler. You’ll always be family ❤️ 147:3,” he wrote in conclusion.
The Challenge star Kendall Darnell commented under the post, “He spoke so highly of you. I’m sure he told you. But he also told others. 💜 Just wanted to share.”

Tyler Duckworth's Death Remains Shrouded in Mystery
Tyler Duckworth's body was found in his North Dakota apartment on August 11.
The Grand Forks Police Department told People that Duckworth's body was found in his overflowing bathtub after his downstairs neighbors reported water leaking through the ceiling.
Per the authorities, they arrived at the scene at roughly 11:45 a.m., where they made the devastating discovery. They also stated that while it is unclear how long he had been dead, he was reportedly seen just the day before.
Although they noted that there were no signs of foul play involved in his death, an autopsy and toxicology analysis were underway.
Tyler Duckworth's mother, Joni Duckworth, shared a heartfelt statement after his death.
The late star’s mother, Joni Duckworth, gave a statement to People after news of his death broke, saying, “My Ty-Guy would skip to school when he was little.”
“He has now gone on to a better place where the hurts and challenges (pun intended) are no longer. Tyler found his passion in teaching and he was good at it,” she continued.
“He taught world history. He loved history and geography and as he had traveled the world over, I am sure he brought many insights to his students,” she added.
“To all of Tyler’s friends and fans — God bless you for loving my Ty-Guy,” she stated in conclusion.
