Kanye West & Kim Kardashian Rekindling Romance Rumors Fly After 'Donda' Listening Party, Rapper Reportedly Claiming They Are Back Together
Are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West giving it another shot? Some sources — and possibly even the "Stronger" rapper himself — are saying it's possible!
An insider close to the Kardashian-West family talked to Page Six and dished the deets on Kimye 2.0 and whether or not they are thinking about picking up the pieces of their marriage and giving it another go.
According to the source, though the estranged couple didn't speak to each other very much for months after filing for divorce, they have slowly began to spend more time together over the past summer for the sake of their children — North, 8, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3 and Psalm, 2.
"Kim is a nice person – while she and Kanye are not back together – she’s happy to support him in his work and his art," the source spilled on the current relationship between the former lovebirds. "She wants a good relationship with him for the sake of their children."
Another source spoke to the news outlet, saying that Kim and Kanye are currently working on "rebuilding their friendship", noting that the ex couple have shown each other nothing but support personally and professionally, as well as co-parents.
"Which is why she traveled for all three listening events with the kids to be there for him each time." They source also noted that their family has been spending time together privately as well.
A third source seemed to shut down the rumors of reconciliation, and implied that it's all an attention-grab. "They are not getting back together. The one thing they still have in common is love of the press. And of course she will still help him make money because the money goes to their children. It’s mutually beneficial for both of them."
That theory might not be entirely out of bounds, as the "Gold Digger" rapper and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians personality turned heads and set the rumors flying at his third 'Donda' listening event in Chicago when the reality star joined her ex-man on stage dressed to the nines in a white Balenciaga Haute Couture wedding dress.
One of the insiders bluntly claimed West is lying outright. "Kanye has been telling other rappers that he and Kim are back together, but everybody knows that isn’t true."
"The real story is that Kanye wants to beat Drake in record sales," the source elaborated. "And he is putting on a big show of performance art to grab all the media attention."
This comes after OK! reported that the KUWTK star had opted not to change her name after the divorce.
A source told E! News, explaining that Kim remaining a "West" was for their kids' sakes. "They are always going to be a family and family unit. She feels like it’s in the kids’ best interest to all have the same last name."
West has also been spotted still wearing his wedding ring 6 months after the high profile couple filed for divorce.
