Kelly Clarkson Beams In Animal Print Dress As She Preps For 40th Birthday Bash
Kelly Clarkson knows how to turn heads on the red carpet!
The American Song Contest star, 39, stunned while rocking a multicolored animal print mini dress and a smile from ear-to-ear on Monday, April 18, for the NBC singing competition series she cohosts with Snoop Dogg.
The songstress also showed off her stylish look on her 'gram, captioning the post of herself standing with her hands placed on her hips: "Tonight's look on @AmericanSongContest."
The "Because of You" songstress' adoring fans couldn't help but gush over the icon in the comment section, with one admirer calling her a "Beautiful queen," as another added: "Love everything u wear Kelly!" with several fire emojis.
Clarkson's latest striking snap comes as she gears up for her upcoming birthday bash. Talking to E! News about her 40th birthday, which she will celebrate on April 24th, she teased what she has in store to celebrate another lap around the sun — but don't expect the American Idol alum to be turning up at the club anytime soon.
"I am literally so low key," Clarkson explained to the outlet of what she will be doing on her special day. "I've had a crazy two years so I just wanted a chill birthday. I'm planning on going hiking with my friends and doing a dinner with my band and that's it."
The past few years for the "Breakaway" singer have come with both heartache and triumph after Clarkson finalized her bitter divorce from former husband Brandon Blackstock. And despite some hardships in her personal life, Clarkson's career has been soaring, as she also saw the continued success of her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show — which is slated to move into the coveted 2 p.m. time slot once occupied by The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

The multitalented star even went on to legally change her name from Kelly Brianne Clarkson to Kelly Brianne. "I just got divorced, so I had to drop my married last name," she later joked about some of the recent switch-ups in her life.
"I just kept my middle name for my personal life. I'm still Kelly Clarkson," the vocalist clarified of how she will continue to be known in her career. "I don't think I can change Clarkson at this point. I'm 20 years in!"
Clarkson and the former talent manager, 45 — who share children River Rose, 7, and Remington, 5 — split in June of 2020 after nearly seven years together. After duking it out in court over money and property, the former couple officially finalized their divorce last month.
Per their final agreement, Blackstock will receive $115,000 each month in spousal support from the "Stronger" singer up until January 2024, in addition to child support for their two children.
